Faces  Caras

My themes are the subjects in life that move me: inequality between men and women, and the injustice done to the vulnerable. What i love is the intrinsic natural power of women, that makes them invincible, despite of (internalised) oppression.
Everything we see has many layers, many stories. Faces show dreams, illusions, history, stories, lies and truths. That is why i love painting in layers of different materials that sometimes contradict each other in color, texture or form. It makes painting complicated, but that is what i think life is; a complicated and multi layered thing, that makes itself experienced in intense feelings
